Lowell School Newsletter

The School Year has begun!

Lowell School welcomes new and returning students!
Greetings,
There’s nothing more exciting than the first day of school. The building looked fabulous! The new carpeting has really given the school a new look. I’d like to extend a big thank you to the Wayne, Tony, and Linda our amazing custodial staff, who worked extremely hard to get everything clean and ready to welcome our teachers and students back.
I also want to say thank you to all the teachers! They too spent many countless hours preparing for our students. You’ll love what you see when you come in for “Back to School” Night.
I look forward to a successful year as the newest member of the Lowell academic team. I have quickly recognized the strong commitment teachers and parents have centered on working together to create a nurturing and academically challenging environment. I will continue to support the academic, social, and emotional growth of your child at Lowell.
Over the course of the next several months and beyond, it is my hope that we will work together to provide the students of Lowell the best possible opportunities in preparing them to be critical thinkers and world-class citizens ready to take on the challenges of the 21st Century. As Principal, my door is open and I welcome your input. Please feel free to stop in or call to make an appointment to discuss any concerns, suggestions, and or ideas.
I look forward to meeting you over the next few weeks. I will be hosting coffee hours over the next 6 Fridays to get to know the community better and make myself available to you right away. The coffee hours are by grade level.  My first coffee hour will be hosted in the cafeteria on September 15th at 8:30 a.m. for the parents of Pre K and Kindergarten. Please stop by.
I look forward to working with the Lowell Community and building strong relationships!
Warmest regards,
Mrs. Phelan

Reminders

  • Thank you for taking the time to fill out all the forms we send home. We know how tedious the process is. However, it still so necessary to the work we do.
  • Students should not be dropped off for school before 8:00 a.m. unless they are attending breakfast. Students can only enter the building for Extended care or breakfast. All other students must remain outside. Please don’t drop off children early. We want to make sure they are supervised at all times.
  • You do not need to call the school if your child absent due to illness or late for school. The classroom teacher takes attendance in the classroom. If your child is absent you will receive a phone call confirming their absence.
