Lowell School Newsletter
Lowell School Reading Challenge
Lowell School kicks off our Reading Challenge this morning with a reading of Green Eggs and Ham.
Dear Families,
We are very excited to let you know that on May 9th , we will go on a school-wide Field Trip to celebrate the end of our reading challenge. Attending the performance will expose the students to a rich cultural experience. In addition, this field trip will promote community building by pairing students with their cross-grade- level buddies. We believe this experience will be educational as well as well as creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Who: All students in Pre K through grade 5 including all staff members
What: To see the production of Stuart Little
Where: Wheelock Family Theater
When: Wednesday, May 9th, 2018
We will be leaving school promptly at 9:30 am and plan to come back
approximately at 1:00 pm
On the day of the trip, students are asked to bring a snack and a bagged lunch from home.
The cost for each student is $15.00. Please send in a personal check or money order payable to Watertown Public Schools along with the attached permission slip.
Please include your child’s name on the memo line on your check.
All payments are due by Wednesday, March 7th.
We would like to extend our thank you to the Lowell School PTO for generously funding the bus transportation.
Thank you very much,
Mrs. Cox and Mrs. Toledano,
Lowell’s Reading Specialists
