Thank you, PTO!
PTO generously provided the extra library funds to purchase 2018’s award-winning titles, new titles in our student’s favorite series, and replacement copies of many well-loved books. Thank you for supporting literacy in the school!

Movie Making

Fifth-grade students performed their 30-second book talks using Quicktime Player and imported the file into iMovie for editing creating a final finished “movie.”

How To….

First and second grade worked on creating original how-to writings to explore sequencing and ordering. First grade created paper books of their How To’s and second grade is using Pixie to develop digital slides for each step in the process.

States and Regions Extravaganza

Fourth Grade is finishing up their regions project by creating Google Slide shows the information they learned about their state. The last step is drawing a to scale representation of their country in preparation for the assembling of the United States Map on June 18th.

Author Slide Shows

Third grade mastered Google Slides creating presentations on the author they researched over the last few weeks. Students created new slides, altered backgrounds and themes, inserted text boxes and images, and formatted text. As part of this project, they also learned to use research questions to guide their author research using online databases and to create or download a citation from a source.

World Folk Tales

PreK and Kindergarten listened to a variety of tales from around the globe. We also worked on using a mouse, dragging and dropping images, resizing pictures and saving our work on a computer.

New Books

A few of our new books from Junior Library Guild and Follett...
