Move Up Day Scheduled for June 20th
Student Placement will be announced on Wednesday, June 20th. Lowell School along with the Cunniff and Hosmer will hold a Move Up Day the last week of school. Students will get a chance to meet their (new) teacher and visit their (new) classroom. They will also get to see which friends will be in their (new) classroom.
Students will participate in a brief “Meet and Greet” at the end of the school day from 1:30-2:00 pm. We will also provide placement letters for each student before they leave school Wednesday, June 20th. This is to make sure they remember the name of their next year’s teacher.
Many thoughtful hours go into our placement decisions. Your child’s current teacher has a big role in selecting next year’s teacher. We also ask each student to give us names of good working partners and friends to help their transition. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Join Lowell School in Recycling Markers

Recycle used Markers in the cardboard boxes located on each floor by the elevators.

Crayola ColorCycle

Crayola and schools across North America are banding together to help Kids understand the importance of their role in protecting the environment. That’s why Crayola launched ColorCycle. Through this initiative, students in K-12 schools across the continental United States and parts of Canada can collect and repurpose used Crayola markers.
Crayola ColorCycle will accept all brands of plastic markers, not just Crayola markers.  That includes dry erase markers and highlighters! ColorCycle will eliminate placing hundreds of tons of markers into landfills.

Kindergarten’s Last Day is June 21st
