Greetings Lowell School,
I’m writing to give you an update on our search for the new Assistant Principal at Lowell. The position was posted from May 1st through May 14th. The hiring committee was made up of ten members including myself, the guidance counselor, a behavior specialist, instructional assistant, and teachers. On May 22nd we met to review resumes and chose eight candidates to interview. The interviews took place on May 29th and 30th. We were impressed by all the candidates and four were subsequently moved forward as finalists.
We have invited the finalists to Lowell on June 11th, 13th, 15th and tentatively June 21st.
Each candidate will have a tour of the school, meet with the interview team, have the opportunity to engage the staff and parents for 30 minutes each, and finally interview with the Superintendent. At the conclusion of these efforts we will choose the first Assistant Principal of the Lowell School.
Faculty and Parents are welcome to attend each meet and greet with the candidates. We will hold these events in the Lowell Library on the above mentioned dates. Teachers are welcome from 2:30-3:00 and Parents from 3:00-3:30. Please come by and give our candidates a warm Lowell welcome.
